'한국말과 영어를 섞어 사용하라'는 switch English가 엉터리 영어 같이 들릴 것이다. 그러나 다음의 질문에 대답하여보라. '도대체 당신은 왜 영어를 말하고 싶어하는가 Why on earth do you want to speak English?' 1년에 한번 정도 외국에 나가는데 그럴 때마다 영어의 필요성을 느껴서? 아니면，한국에서 한 달에 한 번 정도 만나고 있는 외국인 친구와 제대로 의사소통 좀 해보려고? 1년에 한번 나가는 외국 여행을 위해서 그토록 고생하여 영어를 한다? 한 달에 한 번 정도 있을까 말까한 외국인과의 만남을 위해서?  It doesn't make sense. It's nonsense.
　
영어를 잘 하는 나라들，즉 필리핀，싱가폴，인도，남미，아프리카 등의 수 십국의 나라에서는 영어를 자기들끼리 사용하려고 공부한다(They study English to speak among themselves). 그래서 switch 영어가 나온 것이다. 처음엔 엉망인 듯 들리겠지만，시간이 지나면서 한국말 대화에 더 많은 영어가 들어오게 되며 후에는 모국어와 영어의 구분이 없는 단계까지 가는데 이것이 바로 영어가 모국어가 되는 것이 아닐까?
　
Luke's Gospel의 chapter 4의 첫부분을 switch 영어로 설명하면 다음과 같다.
　
Jesus께서 full of the Holy Spirit하여 returned from the Jordan 하였다. 그리고 the Spirit에 이끌려 into the desert하셔서 forty days동안 Devil에게 시험받으시더라. 이 모든 시간에 in all that time ate nothing하시니 날 수가 다하며 he was hungry. The Devil이 said to him，"If you are God'Son，this stone을 명하여 turn into bread 하게 하라. 예수께서 대답하시되 "기록된 바 Human beings doesn't live on bread alone."
　
The Devil이 예수를 이끌고 올라가서 in a second에 all the kingdoms of the world를 showed. The Devil told him. "내가 네게 all this power와 all this wealth를 주리라. If you worship me하면，all this will be yours." 예수께서 대답하여 "The scripture says: Lord your God만 worship하고 serve only Him!"
